Cross Connect — Church Network
A ministry platform by Ojee Labs
We're here to help. Cross Connect is built and maintained by Ojee Labs, a one-person indie development studio. We're committed to making sure your experience — whether you're a congregation administrator or an individual member — is as smooth as possible. Browse the topics below or reach out directly.
Cross Connect — Church Network is free on the App Store for iPhone and iPad. On Android, it is in open beta on Google Play: join the testers group, opt in as a tester, then install it from Google Play. The download section on our home page has the links and steps for both.
Open the app and tap Sign Up. Enter your first name, last name, email address, and a password (at least 6 characters). You can choose your congregation now, or tap "Skip — I'll choose later." Accept the Terms of Service and tap Create Account. We'll email you a verification link: tap it, then return to the app and tap "I've Verified My Email."
Check your spam or junk folder. The email comes from noreply@mail.ccchurchnet.com. If you still don't see it, open the app: until your email is verified, signing in shows the "Check Your Email" screen, where you can tap Resend Verification Email.
Most people choose their congregation while creating their account. Your join request is sent as soon as you verify your email. If you skipped that step, open the Directory tab, find your congregation (search by name, filter by state, city, or fellowship, or use the map), open it, and tap Request to Join. If you haven't chosen a congregation or skipped, the app shows the church picker after you sign in. Your congregation's Admins and Leaders review the request, and you'll get a notification when it's approved.
Cross Connect onboards congregations manually. If your church isn't listed, open the Directory tab and tap "My Church Isn't Here" to share our onboarding form with your church leadership. You can also send them to ccchurchnet.com/onboarding.
Yes. Tap "Skip — I'll choose later" when you create your account, or "I don't have a congregation yet" on the church picker. You'll have a Cross Connect home screen with the Verse of the Day, the congregation directory to browse and find a church, and your Profile. Congregation and fellowship features become available once a congregation approves your request to join.
Your request is pending review by your congregation's Admins and Leaders. If you've been waiting more than a few days, reach out to your congregation's leadership directly. Cross Connect cannot approve membership on behalf of congregations. You can cancel a pending request from your home screen or from the congregation's profile.
Membership decisions are made entirely by congregation leadership. Cross Connect does not mediate membership disputes. You are welcome to request to join a different congregation at any time.
Open the Profile tab and tap Leave Congregation. Leaving takes effect immediately — you will lose access to your current congregation's content and your role there, and become an independent user. Then open the Directory tab, find your new congregation, and tap Request to Join. Access to the new congregation is granted once its Admins or Leaders approve your request.
Open the Profile tab and tap Leave Congregation. Leaving takes effect immediately. You'll become an independent user and can request to join a new congregation at any time.
Admins and Leaders can post announcements. Open the News tab and tap the + button. Write your message (links become tappable), optionally attach an image, and tap Post Announcement. Announcements are visible to every member of your congregation, and members get a push notification.
Admins and Leaders can upload bulletins. Open the Bulletins tab and tap the upload button, choose the bulletin date, and select a PDF file. The bulletin appears in the Bulletins tab for all members, and members get a push notification.
Open the Prayer tab and tap the + button. Write your request and choose who it's visible to — All Members or Leaders Only — then submit it.
When you mark a prayer request as "Leaders Only," it is visible only to your congregation's Admins and Leaders, and to you. Other members cannot see it.
Open the Directory tab, tap a member to open their profile, and tap Add to Contacts. Their name, phone, email, and photo are saved to your device's contacts.
Cross Connect is the fellowship network layer of the app. It connects you to the other congregations in your church's fellowship. Tap the Cross Connect card at the bottom of your Home screen to open fellowship News, Calendar, Churches, Live, and Businesses.
Fellowship features are only available when your congregation belongs to a fellowship, and your congregation may not be part of one yet. Contact your congregation's leadership or reach out to us at support@ccchurchnet.com to ask about fellowship participation.
Fellowship Reach is how far, in miles, your Cross Connect network extends from your home congregation. Open it from your Profile tab, or with the Fellowship Reach button at the top of the Cross Connect News and Calendar screens. Drag the edge of the circle on the map, or use the slider; your choice saves automatically. Fellowship News and the Calendar show posts and events from congregations within your reach, and fellowship notifications are filtered the same way. The default is 50 miles.
Open Cross Connect, go to the Businesses tab, and tap the + button at the top. Enter your business name, category, description, and contact information. Your listing, with your name and congregation, will be visible to members of every congregation in your fellowship.
Tap the ••• button on the listing and choose Report Listing. Reports go to the Cross Connect platform administrators for review.
Business listings are the only content you can report from inside the app. To report anything else — including inappropriate content or a child safety concern — email support@ccchurchnet.com with a description of what you saw and where.
Open Cross Connect and go to the Live tab to see the congregations in your fellowship that stream. YouTube streams show a LIVE badge while they are broadcasting. Tap any stream to open it.
Check that notifications are enabled for Cross Connect in your device's system settings. Also check Notification Preferences on your Profile tab. For fellowship notifications, check your Fellowship Reach.
Open the Profile tab and use Notification Preferences to turn each kind on or off: Announcements, Bulletins, Prayer Requests, Verse of the Day, and, if your congregation is in a fellowship, Fellowship Announcements and Fellowship Events.
Fellowship notifications are filtered by your Fellowship Reach. If you're not receiving them, open Fellowship Reach from your Profile tab and widen it to include more congregations.
Open the Profile tab and tap Edit. Update your first, middle, or last name, phone number, or profile photo and save. Your email address is your sign-in and can't be changed in the app; email support@ccchurchnet.com if you need to change it.
There's no change-password screen in the app. Sign out, type your email address on the sign-in screen, and tap "Forgot Password?" We'll email you a link to set a new password.
Open the Profile tab, scroll to the bottom, tap Delete Account, and confirm. This action is permanent and cannot be undone. Your account, profile, prayer requests, reactions, business listings, and congregation membership are deleted; announcements, bulletins, and fellowship events you posted for your congregation stay. See ccchurchnet.com/delete-account for the full list.
Submit a data deletion request at ccchurchnet.com/delete-account (on Android, the Request Data Deletion button on your Profile tab opens the same page). We'll email the address on the account to confirm the request, and then process it within 30 days.
Fill in our onboarding form at ccchurchnet.com/onboarding. We'll reach out to gather your congregation's information and get you set up. No technical knowledge is required on your end.
Admins and Leaders can open the Admin tab, which shows the number of pending requests. Under Approvals, review each request's name, email, and date, then approve or decline it.
Admins can open the Admin tab and choose Church Info to update your congregation's name, tagline, description, phone, website, address, service times, stream and Zoom links, giving options, calendar link, and social media links. Branding, also in the Admin tab, holds your logo and colours. Church Info and Branding are for Admins only.
Admins can open the Admin tab and choose Feature Toggles to turn Prayer Requests and Bulletins on or off. Changes take effect immediately. Announcements and the Calendar are set up by Cross Connect; email support@ccchurchnet.com to change them.
Admins and Leaders can open the Admin tab and choose Content Moderation to review and remove your congregation's announcements, prayer requests, and bulletins. Reported business listings go to the Cross Connect platform administrators, not to the Admin tab.
